A note from Anika

Founder & Principal designer at Anika Schachtler Design

I live a sort of simple indoor-outdoor barefoot type of life at home with my horses, fresh flowers and homegrown herbs being some of my favorite things. Home is a different pace, it’s slow and easy-going, it’s where I feel relaxed and truly enjoy spending my time.

A few short years ago we bought an 1830’s farmhouse in Hinchinbrooke Qc. and we brought along the horses, miniature goats, dog and then added a flock of chickens! Things are always changing and evolving around here and we love it.

Anika Schachtler Design was created with one purpose in mind: To make life at home better, through design.

Today I still offer in-person interior and landscape design services, and now an online course, The Styling Class where you learn how to create beautiful and meaningful spaces through a short 5-day challenge, all in the comfort of your own home.

When I got started with Anika Schachtler Design in 2018 after experience designing for others, the idea was to keep things small and personal so that I can connect deeply with each one of my clients. To me, Interior design is about making life easier and better. My approach to design is simple and thoughtful, focused on ways to truly enhance the functionality and feel of your home.

Home is where I feel the most relaxed and where I enjoy spending my time. My hope is for you to feel the same way about yours.

On this site you will find all things home. Some of my favorite before-and-after transformations, helpful downloadable guides and lots of inspiration and ideas for your own home.

I’m so thankful you’re here and I hope you’ll enjoy following along!
